Withdrawal Policy

Introduction:

We, KC PUBLIC SCHOOL, are committed to fostering an environment where students can thrive academically, emotionally, and socially. Recognizing that circumstances may arise where a student needs to withdraw from our school, we have established the following policy to ensure a smooth and supportive process for both the student and their family.

Policy:
  1. Reasons for Withdrawal: Students may request to withdraw from the school for various reasons, including but not limited to relocation, family circumstances, health reasons, or pursuing alternative educational opportunities. We understand that each situation is unique and will approach withdrawal requests with empathy and flexibility.
  2. Notification Process: Parents or guardians must notify the school administration in writing of their intention to withdraw their child. The notification should include the reason for withdrawal and the anticipated last day of attendance. This notification allows the school to initiate the withdrawal process promptly and provide necessary support to the student.
  3. Exit Interview: Upon receiving a withdrawal notification, the school will schedule an exit interview with the student and their parent or guardian. The purpose of the exit interview is to gather feedback about the student’s experience at our school, address any concerns, and provide information about the withdrawal process, including academic records transfer and return of school property.
  4. Academic Records Transfer: The school will facilitate the transfer of academic records, including transcripts, grades, and standardized test scores, to the student’s new educational institution. We will ensure that all necessary documentation is provided in a timely manner to support the student’s transition to their new school.
  5. Return of School Property: Prior to the student’s last day of attendance, they must return all school property, including textbooks, library books, electronic devices, and any other materials issued by the school. Failure to return school property may result in fees or withholding of academic records.
  6. Support Services: In cases where withdrawal is due to health reasons or other challenging circumstances, the school will offer support services to assist the student and their family. This may include referrals to counseling services, academic support resources, or community organizations that can provide additional assistance.
  7. Re-Enrollment Option: Students who withdraw from the school may be eligible to re-enroll in the future, subject to availability and adherence to the school’s re-enrollment policies. We welcome former students back into our community and will strive to make the re-enrollment process as smooth as possible.

Conclusion: At KC PUBLIC SCHOOL, we understand that transitions can be challenging, and we are committed to supporting students and their families throughout the withdrawal process. By following this policy, we aim to ensure that every student’s departure from our school is handled with care, respect, and consideration for their individual circumstances.
